JetDC - 88500-0
The Stanhope-Seta JetDC is an automated, benchtop instrument, used to simultaneously determine the relative permittivity (dielectric constant), density and temperature of aviation turbine fuel and fuel containing synthesised hydrocarbons and synthetic blending components.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) represents an important route to reduce global net CO2 emissions. SAF is produced through many different processes, using different feedstock such as used cooking oil, syngas, fats, vegetable oils, greases, sugars and alcohols. SAFs are approved for use through a standardised testing process.
The molecular make up of conventional aviation turbine fuel and SAF are not identical and there can be a difference in the dielectric constant, density, temperature relationship. This relationship is used by many aircraft gauging systems as part of the mechanism to determine how much fuel is on board the aircraft. As such capacitive fuel gauge accuracy relies on the dielectric constant properties to be similar across jet fuel batches.

Details
Ease of use:The JetDC features a simple user interface with colour touchscreen display. The fully automated test means minimal operator knowledge and training is required. Real time test progress is displayed and results can be stored internally, automatically printed or exported using the QR Code or LIMS for further data analysis.
Cost saving:
Due to the simplicity of test set up and test procedure, little operator time is required, allowing the operator to focus on other tasks and so helping to reduce labour costs. The JetDC has a small footprint, requiring minimal laboratory bench space, leaving plenty of room for other instruments.
Precision and accuracy:
A fully automatic test sequence and consistent sample handling ensures test repeatability and reproducibility. Possible missed steps or operator bias are eliminated for precise results.
Supplied with: Mains cable, quick start guide and USB with the instrument handbook.
