Certificates Explained

Many SETA products are supplied with formal certification confirming that the goods have been inspected, tested, and conform to the requirements of the relevant specification(s). Inspection and other certificates are included where relevant. All inspection and test procedures conform to written test schedules and the Quality System detailed in the company’s ISO 9001 registration.

Certification

Products marked with this icon are supplied with a certificate (may be optional).

Calibration Certificate

Provides the correction that must be applied to the specified instrument to obtain true reading values, traceable to a National Standard. Certificates are issued by a Government Accredited laboratory (UKAS or equivalent), and provide recognised worldwide traceability

Works Calibration Certificate

Provides the correction that must be applied to the specified instrument to obtain true reading values. Calibration has been carried out by the manufacturer using equipment traceable to a National Standard.

Certificate of Conformity

Confirms that a product meets the requirements of the test method or given specification. The certificate states conformance within a required tolerance but does not provide corrections, and is not usually specific to an individual instrument.

Pressure Test Certificate

Confirms the pressure rating of a high pressure vessel/instrument. The pressure test has been carried out by a UKAS accredited laboratory
